I joined an online support group of people who had the same diagnosis as I.

I didn’t know what to expect. But I certainly didn’t expect to hear heartbreaking stories.

They told about their broken bones.

They told about neuropathy so severe that they couldn’t walk or drive a car because they couldn’t feel their feet.

I couldn’t read any more of their stories.

I was healthy!

I could walk five miles a day.

I could go to the gym and lift weights.

I could do Pilates.

I could do Yoga (sort of).

I was leading an everyday life.

They were not.

I realized – write this down – whatever you have, it can always be worse.

So be grateful.

Your turn

What are you grateful for?
